Morlum Review and Rating

 

 

"Somjit Bohthong - สมจิตร บ่อทอง" is a famous male singer of Morlum/Morlam.

Some DVD are publishing in a market in Thailand.

Especially his Morlum on a stage has good reputations.

His facial make up and costume is Awesome!

I can't find any suitable words to describe his appearance.

It's really not enough to tell Gorgeous or Magnificent.

 

Seems he looks like woman?

But he is a man who wearing genaral kind of costume for Morlam concert.

Yeah! It's unthinkable really but nice.

 

Famous catch copy is "Amazing Thailand", So, we have shock and surprise to see the culture of Thailand.

"Morlum concert" is a one of it.

If you like it, It's really enjoyable.

Movie of 9 min. 08 sec. You will hear noisy announcer but it's normal in Thailand.

There are many "Morlum concert" held in Isan/Esan(North East of Thailand).

And it has a lot of enthusiastic fans there.

 

As you listen huge polwer of sound from PA system is typical for all concert like this.

So, it's not easy to record in good quality sound.

Maybe best way is get line out sound from mixer console.

You can find many live "Morlum concerts"  in YouTube with clipped sound.

He has mainly 2 faces, on stage and in DVD.

Each has different feelings.

But anyway it's just "Somjit Bohthong - สมจิตร บ่อทอง".

 

Maybe on stage is a bit for maniac listeners.

Both so good for singing Morlam. Don't you think so?

This is a bit silent feeling as morlum.

I guess it comes from an old song.

When I listen this, I remember the singer name "Dao Bandon".

He also a very big hit when he was young.

And this song also has similar feelings.

คนเมียบ่ย้าน

This movie was recorded when he was younger as you see.

Funny story and light beat Morlum, that's nice to listen.

So, it's easy to image many Thai people are dancing with this Morlum just front of the stage.

Maybe those are getting drunk of course.

 

It's automatically start moving foots and hands while listen it.

Oh! it's really good Morlum too.

This song is also fits to "Hony Sri-Isaan" I think.

Mmmm.

Is this song has big arrranged from the famous song "น้ำตาหล่นบนที่นอน Naam Tah Lon Bong Tee Nong"?

Or maybe somebody coppied in another song..?

 

But anyhow if you get what I mean, maybe you are a one of the big fan of "ฮันนี่ ศรีอีสาน - Hony Sri-Isaan".

Thsi has really good beat.

Of course it's a Lam Sing.

This Lum Sing is famous tune by "JOb & Joy" as you know.

 

If you really like to get bear for dancing, "Lam Sing" is a best for it.

"Lum Sing" is well known for heavy dancing long time.

And singer sings so fast like machine.

"Somjit Bohthong - สมจิตร บ่อทอง" is a good Morlum singer who also sings "Lam Sing" in this feeling.

That's why he has many fans I guess.

 

"Molurm concert" carries long time, it's going on till over midnight.

It's pitty this song is only 3 minutes and a bit.

We like to listen these kind of a tune for more than 10 minutues at least.

At the time there are totally no thinking in a brain when dancing all night.

Mmm, It has some problem about color balance but it's ok just for listen Morlam.

 

นางฟ้าผ่าตัด (หมอลำ)

This Morlum is well singing by singers in Laos.

Maybe it's came from there.

It has more simple feeling mostly there.

So, this tune got arranged a lot.

But still this melody has good feelings.
